CASMO-5 Lattice Analysis

CASMO-5 is the newest generation of the CASMO lattice code. CASMO-5 solves the two-dimensional transport problem in the exact heterogeneous geometry of the assembly for both neutron and gamma transport. Gadolinium and other burnable absorbers are depleted in fine detail, and no auxiliary code is needed for any type of assembly calculation. In addition to generating all neutronics data needed for core calculations.

CASMO-5 contains explicit representation of over 300 nuclides, using a completely new ENDF-B/VII data library. CASMO-5 has a greatly expanded modeling detail compared to previous generations of CASMO with almost 600 energy group represented.

CASMO-5 has been designed for the newest nodal core model, SIMULATE-4 which will soon be released, making it applicable to both previous versions of Studsvik Scandpowers core modeling products, as well as the next generation ones, now under development.
